Partznet is worst place to shop

Partznet is sucks. I would NEVER use their service again.

First we agreed that the shipment will be shipped via USPS, because it's better for shipping to Canada. USPS has an agreement or something like that with Canada Post, so they are not charging brokerage fees for border crossing.

A few minutes ago I received an email, that my order was shipped by UPS. Now this putting me down to ~ $100 for those charges. I called their 800 number and was told by the guy who picked up the phone that he didn't have anyone to go down to post office to drop the package, so he shipped it by UPS. This was without letting me know. After all he just hangs up on me when I told him that by the thing he done, I'll be down for $100.

This is unacceptable way to make business. Seems that Partznet doesn't care of the customers. I'm pissed.:upset:

If you used a credit card make sure to put in a fraud complaint. If those were the terms you agreed to (USPS shipping) then they defrauded you and the credit card company will take care of that.

while their prices do seem to be good, when I placed my order, I was less than pleased w/customer service....it tooks weeks instead of days....

I've sent them disappointing email and would like to talk to the manager. Did anyone have had any experience of contacting Conicelli Toyota? May be someone knows who I should talk to.

By the way, here is our conversation over email:

Hello,
What company are you using for shipment? Due to the fact that UPS and FedEx charge a huge amount for brokerage fees, is it possible to lower the value on the package or send the items via USPS mail?
Thank you.
Alex.

it would seem that they are only screwing themselves with such bad customer service. I mean how many members are there on this forum? And now we all know that they don't care about their customers...

I'll be posting my BAD EXPERIENCE with them on any Toyota forum I know.
I can't push everyone not to use their service, but I want others to know how they deal with me and what the average customer may expect from them.

I'd also want to mention that I've read in this forum that couple members had negative experience with Partznet too. Basically those members were charged for shipping after placing an order because Partznet couldn't calculate the shipping. SO basically they had to agree on any shipping charges which will appear on the bill.
With me the story comes in a different angle. When we agreed to one shipping and at the end I'm founding out that the parts has been shipped, but in a different way.

Think yourself if you want to use their service in the future. I'm just giving you my experience.

.

Steve is the parts department manager. I'd be very surprised if he did not make it right for you after you talk to him.

Partznet is hard to get a hold of also, called about 20 times before I got a live person.

Only reason I used them is the club members suggested it for the great pricing.

But on my last order request I made at partznet for a TRD CAI they said will be delayed so I cancelled order and went to a friend at a local dealership parts dept.

Maybe partznet sucks but Canada Post sucks much more. At least Partznet did spend more and shipped via UPS.

You probably would have never received your shipment it was shipped throught USPS and Canada Post.

I have never called there and not talked to someone.

They have more than a few people in the parts department so I don't understand why your call was not answered. I will say that, like most parts departments, I may stay on hold for a few minutes but never not answered at all.

I've used USPS/CanadaPost many times before when was ordering stuff from US and shipped to Canada. Never had an issue of un-delivering. It takes longer to deliver, but always comes.

I have a bad experience with trdparts4u , slow to no delivery resulting to longer waiting periods. slow communications as well. i ended up cancelling my order and got same items at a local toyota dealer.

More reasons to move to the US!:D It is too bad that there are problems with Partznet. Hopefully, they can fix your problem for you on their dollar.

Good luck.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've used trdparts4u and had good experiences. On one order, I bought touch up paint and when I received it, the bottle was dry. I shot them an email and they didn't even question me about it, they just shipped me a new bottle which came a few days later.

I've also purchased through partznet.com online and had no issues. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, call back and ask for a manager. If no one is willing to deal with you, you are in your rights to cancel the order through your credit card. I think the CC requires that you make an attempt to reconcile with the merchant before they step.

Hope it works out for you.

Partznet got my order right 9 of 10 times but the one time they didn't, they really handled it poorly from a customer relations standpoint. They corrected their mistake but in the process really pissed me off.

....thank goodness for the edit button.....I mixed up a bad experience with a different parts supplier with Conicelli....Tom is a great rep there who bent over backward's helping me reverse the brokerage charges for a part I purchased awhile back....

.....my one and only and last experience was a ridiculous conversation with a (I use the term very loosely...) 'customer service rep' that seemed pissed off and annoyed giving me prices for a driver's side grab handle and the accessories for it..funny his attitude became rather arrogant after I told him I was calling from Canada.......after ten minutes of 'bothering' him I hung up and gave my business to Todd Brown at Sunnyside Toyota....he seemed to appreciate my business....here's his email if anyone is interested on how customer service should [email protected]

Maybe Partznet hates Canadians!:D

I have never had an issue with them. They were fast and friendly. Why not just buy your parts in Canada and avoid the hassle? I sold a golf club to a guy in Canada and he threw a fit cause he wanted it shipped USPS and I wanted to send it FEDEX. Last time I send anything over the border...
