passenger door won't open

how do i take the passenger door off a 1988 4runner when the handle on the outside won't open, and both the handles on the inside won't open it. And is it normal that the passenger door on these trucks looks like it has two opening latches. now it also feels like the the lock isn't really moving. I pull up and down and its not going anywhere. :AK47:

Yeah, that's normal. The extra one is so somebody sitting in the rear can open the door.

If you can't open it at the latches, you'll have to take the panel off the inside of the door so you can get at the guts of the thing.

Have you pulled off the interior handle to see if it's still connected to the wire?
