What exactly is the cargo compartment in the cargo area on the passenger side for? I know that T4Rs with the JBL stereo have a subwoofer mounted in this area, but I'm trying to figure out what the straps are for.

Borgzman- could u post a pic of how it is tied down? I had mine in there for a little while but it rattled constantly and drove me nuts, so I took it out.

the straps in the compartment is for the first aid kit from toyota. it just a perfect place to have a first aid kit, but u know what, i took at whole area apart ad took that plastic part out and hide my jl audio 500/1 amp there, perfect for keeping my amp hidden and accessable.

Actually, I haven't checked that compartment for a year. When I opened it, I LOL when I saw that what I did was wrapped the tow hitch with a "Non Slip kitchen Mat". Thats why it didn't rattle. :biggrin2:

Not sure what it is for.
I store my breaker bar w/ socket that I use for lug nuts and a BIG screwdriver.
The straps come in handy to anchor the breaker bar and screwdriver.
When I am towing I also store the Toyota Rubber hitch receiver plug and my trailer's hitch lock that covers the hitch ball area.
I keep the Toyota First Aid kit in the glovebox.
