Perhaps there's a loophole that you can get around with and Supply an equal or Superior product without the wait times that Gobi does.

There’s plenty of “loop holes”, its called the shoddy patent system. Things only have to be changed very slightly in the material used, unique look etc to not infringe on patent or copyright, trademark laws. Its not rocket science just most people are scared by rumors. I own some and have a good Idea about the system and how it works.

Don't be so cavalier in this if you decide to start selling; the average cost of a patent lawsuit can easily surpass $1 million and a decent lawyer would probably take this thread alone and use it to show you willfully violated their intellectual property.

Do not underestimate a corporate with the resources to screw the little guy, particularly ones who've already shown they'll do it.

Ultimately I agree with this statement also. Even though with minor tweaks etc you can claim your design is different, it might cost a fortune to prove it. Side note. You can make anything you want. As soon as you start selling it for profit is where the “trouble” kicks in.
