That will be key. Because if the MFC is expanded enough to bulge you won’t be able to get the cap off by hand. And looking at the pics it appears there’s no way to vent with a wrench. Just a suggestion so we can avoid a completely stuck can in the holder.

The carrier swings down from the bottom. Will post a photo when I’m not on my phone. But this won’t be an issue.

Having the gas cans fully enclosed with only a top lid for access is a bad idea. Not sure if these are compatible with only the NATO metal cans but Sceptre MFCs bulge a bit under temp or elevation. With the lid like that it doesn’t allow the user to vent the can in the holder. Also having the lid on top only is going to make it difficult to take a full can out because it needs to be pulled straight out under expansion.

Other than that minor gripe, good job Pelfreybilt! Bumper looks great!

You're absolutely right, and remember that outside of the prototypes in progress I was going by the CAD drawings. Those drawings are over a year old, which gives an idea of how long this thing has been in progress (2 friggin years!)

Anyways based on the CAD it clearly looks like the top opens. And as a result to your point I hit up Tyler, who sent back the following photo. It opens from the bottom, so removal should be easy if you need to get the SCEPTER wrench on it, and the sides are built to allow for some flex so it doesn't bind up completely.

Any options for use of rotopax instead of the jerry cans?
Also are the jerry can mounts bolt on for some modularity, in case future items like a ladder or step.

The gas can mounts bolt-on and can be removed for Propane Carrier, Co2 Tanks, Etc. Depending on the size and quantity of Rotopax you have it should be fairly easy to adapt them to the swing out.

The swing out does have clearance for a ladder if customers already have them installed on their rig. Not 100% necessary to sacrifice a gas can mount for one

Great looking bumper! Do you have any renderings/ drawings of how it would look mounted on the vehicle (side profile ideally)? My only concern is I do not have a gobi ladder and wanted to see how big of a gap there is between the tire and hatch. Also, is the tire going to be vertical or tilted?
