Their post on Instagram pretty much blamed the consumer. That’s messed up and terrible to blame people speculating when a company just releases a statement on a holiday weekend leaving Mor questions than answers. I feel extremely bad for anyone that is out a large chunk of money due to poor business management.

Wow. Now it’s the customers fault for all this going down? Speechless.

“We love our Pelfreybiltfamily and have never had any ill intentions to wrong a single person. We do wish everyone believed this truth instead of resorting to believing we’re the horrible people they’ve painted us into. After pouring everything into Pelfreybilt and building the reputation for quality and customer service, why can’t people understand there’s something going on that’s out of our control rather than assuming the worst and defaming our character.

The unfortunate truth is that we had an amazing team of investors willing to pour a couple million into helping us thrive & as a result we had to remain quiet, so asked the #pelfreybiltfamily for their patience. However, with people feeding lies on social media, stirring up negative publicity, and opening claims on PayPal, the investors pulled out. They deemed the #pelfreybiltfamily too volatile and risky to make the investment. As a result we had no choice but to file personal bankruptcy, and lose everything. We literally poured everything into the business and have lost everything: our business, our jobs, our home, our cars and the money we loaned the business.

It’s heartbreaking to us to have given so much to the off-road community and to have built such an amazing company known for being one of the best in the industry, in just six years, yet have so many people turn their back on us and accuse us of as horrible things as fraud. All we’ve ever done is focus on providing the very best to our customers. We simply grew at a rate we struggled to keep up with, and refused to manufacture products of a lesser quality. Without capital to work with, it eventually took its toll and required investors.

Regardless, what’s done is done and feelings aside, we wish we had better news, but unless someone steps up and is willing to take over Pelfreybilt, the debt owed both to vendors and customer, we don’t see a way for our customers to get their product(s) or refunds. This is less than the ideal situation, yet it’s the reality the #pelfreybiltfamily helped create by allowing negativity to influence their decisions rather than looking at our track record and believing in us to always do what is best for our customers.

We wish each of you all the best, regardless.

Yeah, no...... This could've been easily prevented with proper updates vs. vague statements asking for more time. I think the community would have rallied to keep them afloat, as their products ARE amazing. It sucks that it turned out the way they did.

I have their sliders, and I love them. Customer service was top notch. It truly is sad to see the brand diminish over a period of a couple of weeks.... Especially since it could've been prevented with proper status updates, at least to the folks that have outstanding orders.

Now I am keeping fingers crossed that someone buys the design for their rear bumper and I can still have it made.....

I hope you all get your $ back no matter what it takes. May take lawsuit after lawsuit, personal liens on their properties, cars, anything they ever own in the future, doesn't matter. They OWE you your money back. Their problems are not yours as a customer, period. Anything less than a full refund is nothing less than theft.

This is just sad to see them go out this way. I've met with them several times over the years and they always seemed like honest, good, friendly folks. They were fast and professional when I purchased a bumper from them in 2016.

I can totally understand the frustration and anger from a lot of people that have been basically screwed over and it blows me away that it came to this, and frankly I'm a little disappointed in them.

I was sure hoping that they could "right the ship" but it appears that the ship has sunk. I do feel somewhat sorry for them (the Pelfrey's) as I can't imagine how stressful this must be but ultimately I feel especially sorry for the folks that basically threw their money away. I know I'd be pissed.

Hitler seemed like a good man when he first came to "protect" the people didn't he? History has taught us there's a lot more to people than what meets the eye.

This reeks of BS!!!! If they would have properly updated everyone periodically and not left everyone hanging they would not have been the "victim" that they claimed to be. Truly classless! Glad I never spent a cent on these folks and sorry for those of you whose money they STOLE!

Also laughable they are not setup as a LLC. Really? Lost everything? That is what LLC's are for!

Waiting for Pelfreybilt to open up a new company with new name so I can order my bumpers!!

You're insane if you actually do this. They've shown their true colors, NEVER spend another cent with anyone affiliated with this "company" They've shown their true colors, anyone that gives them business in the future gets what they asked for.

Oh the irony, they are claiming they are the victims when they made poor business decisions, and decided to swindle a whole lot of customers in the process. Now they are trying to salvage their reputations or playing to their own egos.

I also learned make sure a small business is a LLC. Are they really Inc. ?

Face palm 1000X plus if they are!

Definitely feel for the guys and girls who pony up a lot of money just to be thrown under the bus like that...SMH I wish T4R remove them from the vendor list asap!

I personally don’t have any involvement in this issue but it’s sad to see both sides of it. Unfortunate as it is I don’t think any aspect of this is comparable to hitler or anything of the sort...

I'm not saying the owners are Hitler lol. Simply stating the fact that who cares if they seemed like nice people? They were in it for the $ at the end, nothing more. They knew this was coming and took in as much as they could with zero intentions of ever delivering. You believe their investor BS? Come on, there were never any investors, nothing but lies. Personal feelings are meaningless. They stole people's money and knew what they were doing, period.

A small business like this establishes themselves as an Inc? Who does that these days? Between hosing customers, claiming victim and opening themselves up for this down fall .... :(

I don't feel bad for them at all, they knew what they were doing. Only people I feel for are they people who had money stolen from them.

Looks like their Facebook post has been removed, or maybe I’ve just been eliminated from the thread. Within a few moments of posting it generated a ton of comments, virtually all of them bad. So my guess is they pulled it.

This whole thing is just sad and awful, all the way around.

They shut their facebook page down. Ran like the *****es they are. Lie, steal, get called out, run away. Pathetic.

I'm going to agree with you, but its going to be hard to prove fraud but it can be done.

Get as many people who were defrauded and get in contact with a law firm willing to look into this matter. They will go over the number of people affected, the financial records, the time frame, etc and see if they have a case.

I guess you would have to prove that they knowingly defrauded people once they knew that they ere headed to bankruptcy....I'm sure a good lawyer can do just if you can get enough people together to establish a time frame, and have enough evidence to prove it (financial records, ada's, moving and selling of business assets, invoices or lack of invoices for raw materials, etc).

Fyi, i'm not a lawyer...I just hate people who swindle other people and then take the high road.

They are an Inc. and not an LLC so their exposure is far greater to include personal assets. Chapter 7 will bring them some protection though I am not sure how much.
