lets keep this one thread civil, and pertaining to pelfreybilt and the people affected by it. If you got taken by pelfreybilt, you have every right to be mad, but try not to make everyone guilty by association.
Everybody knows a Ftard in their life or in their lifetimes, doesn't mean they themselves are Ftards...
Don't know Lawndart, and don't care, but to me he's a IG/facebook influencer and brand ambassador, nothing more and nothing less.... While he didn't lose anything monetary, his reputation is probably damaged in this fiasco, and that is way more important than money b/c that stays with you to a certain degree. So cut him some slack...

I will add/clarify that he did in fact lose money in this fiasco in the form of paying for products in advance that were never delivered, just like many others here.

Yeah, I don't know him, I only can drool at his truck, and it looks like he had the whole pelfreybilt catalog installed on his truck (then again, he probably has every aftermarket 4runner part that is available, bolted on his truck minus a supercharger).
If he's listed as a creditor in the chapter 7 filing, that would suck.

Yea he's really missing that money while driving his new raptor around.
I have zero tolerance for someone who presents themselves as part of a company, takes place in their marketing campaign, tells everyone it's worth the wait, and then fades away.
I'm sure it won't be too long before we see him become an "influencer" for the raptor community.

Impossible. There's no way the guy who was involved with the production and marketing of vapor ware could have known. The fact that he's friends with the pelfreys and defended them until it was clear they were going under is also not an issue.

He was tired of his Runner for awhile now.
This was just the last straw.
It's as I said it was. He got high off of repping brands and uber-building, then got to experience the bad side of web fame and being a brand ambassador.
My bet is he'll keep the Raptor build more toned down. But who knows.

You mean the money I work hard as a freelancer to make? The money that I put into my build, that I agreed to sell weeks before this Pelfreybilt fiasco even started? The amount of things people think I get discounts on is extremely small, and they always come with a trade in terms of actual work (photography, video, or technical write ups). I'm sorry if you think everything on my vehicle was a freebie, because it wasn't. I paid full price goddamn most, if not all, of the time.
I avoided commenting on this thread while a lot of keyboard warriors, hiding behind the anonymity of their screen names, threw shade my way while I'm still working to get people the information they need to hopefully have some chance of getting their money back. If people think I want to have my build remembered for this pelfreybilt stink, you're all sorely mistaken.
There was a point I wanted Pelfreybilt to fix their company, but how they've behaved in the wake of all this is so deeply upsetting that it retroactively ruins all my memories of them. I'm so deeply embarrassed to have been associated with them given how many people they've screwed. And had they fought it out and stuck around to make people whole, they could have held on to some shred of credibility.
Instead they were insulting the very people they should have been working to protect from their mistake. They've skipped to Texas, they sold their Pelfreybilt IG account to some repost account, and they clearly have no intention of making any of this right.
But to the people thinking I had an inside track on what was happening, you're absolutely wrong. I first found out about this via Chris Hefty, who PM'd me on FB asking, "Hey do you know what's going on with PB, I can't get in touch with them, and their site isn't accepting orders." And like a lot of people I had no idea what was going on.
It absolutely grosses me out to see the comments that amount to "I'm not saying that, I'm just saying..." that me selling a vehicle I spent 4 years working on as have anything to do with this situation. I was presented in early August, with an opportunity to sell my vehicle at a price I would have been stupid to have turned down, to get me into a vehicle I realized would be a better fit for me. I shouldn't even have to justify the timeline of my purchase.
I understand that people are upset at Pelfreybilt, and in them pulling the chickenshit maneuver and bailing from social media, that people want someone to blame. I'm absolutely sorry for anyone who pre-ordered a product based on my recommendation, who's now out money. That's something that eats at me and will bother me for a long time. Yeah I'm out money too, I chose not to throw that around because this story isn't about me. It's about two people who negligently ran a business into the ground, and hurt a lot of people in the process.
