another update. 11-2-14, still running strong no check engine lights. problem still solved!

Thanks for posting this update! I've been having the same codes in my truck and looking for a solution. Planning on replacing the sensor and possibly thermostat if necessary. The whole process has been rather annoying because my CEL isn't working for whatever reason, so I've had to just check the codes over and over. But anyway, glad you got your issue solved!

I’ve got a 1998 SR5 5VZFE
302,000 miles
Currently throwing a P0125 code. If I clear it, it will always come back, but sometimes with a P0130 and a P0133 along with it. Everything I’ve read points to the upstream oxygen sensor, so I went ahead and changed it, installed an oem Denso sensor, contacts in the connector are clean. I’m still getting the codes. Anyone think it can possibly be a coolant temp sensor not agreeing with the oxygen sensor? I was thinking that, but then why would I occasionally have the P0130 and P0133 codes? I know those both correspond to the upstream oxygen sensor. I’m in New York, and my truck has Cali emissions, but as far as I know, even Cali emissions trucks only had one cat until 99.
Just got the truck last week. And Got 13.8mpg to my last tank, would like that to be better haha! Also need to pass the NY emissions inspection.
Also hate to know that it’s runnimg in open loop and extra rich all the time, washing that oil off my 300k cylinder walls!
After I get this worked out, would anyone recommend an oil change to get rid of any possible fuel diluted oil? Or is that overkill? No black smoke or anything so it’s not THAT rich.
Let me know what you guys think.

I’m sure she can use a new pcv valve, but I don’t think it would be causing the codes.
I can see how that could possibly cause the p0125, but I've also got the p0130 and p0133 at the same time
