I had ordered some sylvania silverstar ultras for my girls maxima on eBay. they were a good price so i bought them. i had the lights shipped to my moms house since she is home during the day. A week went by and had not received them. checked the tracking number online and said they had been delivered but were left on the porch. called my mom up and asked her if she had gotten a delivery and she said no. checked around the house and nothing. today i got a call from my mom saying, she found a box down the street with my name on it but it was empty. sure enough it was my box that the lights had been shipped in. someone took the box off the porch and took the lights. this gets me upset because people work hard for their things and for someone else to just take them, it just plain wrong. its kinda sad too that people are actually willing to go on your porch and take things. well if they needed them that bad that they had to steal them, then by all means take it. what goes around, comes around. I'm just gonna cut my loss and get her another pair.

Same thing happened to one of my neighbors a while ago. Found their box for an electronic device down the street opened (an ipod i believe). Don't worry, scum like that will get what's coming to them.

My VP use work for FedEX and says it is instant and automatic termination, if a FedEX driver forges a signature to leave a package because they don't want to reattempt delivery.

I think it depends on the price. Calling them will usually get you no where, they have it all written out and know you won't do anything about it beyond calling. It is definitely worth a try though. Just say you never received the package.

thanks for the pickup guys. it was a very small package that didn't require a signature. it wouldn't even be worth it to fight over it. o well, hope who ever stole them, get what they deserve ten times worse.

Yes! they are responsible. They were the last one who actually got hold of the item. one time, even for a $12 book, they left me a note in the mail box for a second delivery, if still, nobody is in the house, they'll leave it in the nearest office for me to claim..

I also have all my crap shipped to my work for security reasons. That and for some reason, my ground deliveries come in a day or two earlier to my work than if I sent it to my home address.

I never heard of somebody stealing a package off a porch but I always figured it must happen. That would piss me off to no end. You should have a large turd shipped to the same address and hopefully the same loser will steal that package too

yea spray some starch on it so it keeps its shape, lol. think i will start shipping my stuff to where i work as suggested. thanks again guys.

A co-worker of mine put up security cameras after losing some items left on his porch. He checked it remotely from work online one day and actually watched a guy come onto his porch and take a package - live!

Some people are just plain rotten. But they'll get what's coming one day.
