Perfect dash kit for 4th gen limited 4runner w/ aftermarket NAV/double din

I just had a pioneer avic-z130bt installed on my 05 limited 4runner (which is awesome) and was having issues with both the metra dash kits not fitting right. The one that had just the 2 side pieces didnt fill the gaps all the way, and the other that had the full frame didnt work either because it was too big. Another problem is the pioneer avic-z130bt had a little lip at the bottom that sticked out a little further than the rest of the screen (see pic below) that would hit the bottom of the full framed metra kit and cause it to get stuck or not open. Even with trimming and cutting that kit wouldnt work. My installer ordered a kit from best or best kits (sorry forgot exactly) but the fit is awesome. He said he just had to trim a little off the corners behind the oem information display. All in all it looks perfect in person. Hope this helps some people getting nav systems. I can get closer pics if you guys need.

Looked this kit up at their site. It doesn't list the SR5. I have a 2006 SR5. Do you think it will fit! I do not have jbl.

Probably not the sr5 if not listed. I think you'll be fine with the metra kit.

Dunk, Did you find one that fit the SR5 well? I have an 04 SR5 non JBL and the exact same navi as yellow put in (Z130BT). I don't see why the best kit wouldn't work for SR5 as well, they should be the same measurements...

Sorry to necro an old thread, but this was the one linked from a google search for "4th gen 4runner double din."

Just got my '03 Limited back from a Kenwood double DIN install and I'm really unhappy with the kit/fitment (with the piece on either side not filling the space.)

Looks like the website has changed, but I'm thinking this is the piece I need to trim it out properly?

Anyone have comments on the difficulty of this install? I'm very much a novice in terms of my audio work, but I'm getting better and willing to learn.
