Performance Toyota Memphis

First off, I'm a new member to this forum and a new 4Runner owner. I just traded my 2001 Grand Cherokee for a 2006 Sport 4x4. It was a tough decision as I really loved my Grand Cherokee and had planned to buy another....or a Commander. In the end I was won over by the quality, fit and finish of the 4runner and the great handling of the XREAS suspension in my sport.

I thought I'd comment on the dealership I purchased my 4runner from as I'm happy to report that for once I connected with a dealer who walked the talk when it came to showing they valued customer satisfaction. First off, I felt like the deal they gave me was very fair: 2900 off the sticker price plus the $1K or 2.9% APR that Toyota is offering right now. They did me ok on my trade, giving me within $100 of what Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds placed my trade-in value....even with 104,000 miles on it. The big kicker for me though was when I got my new 'runner home and noticed the next day there was a small ding in the gas cap and a small crease on the back door. I picked up my vehicle last Saturday and didn't notice the items until Sunday so I couldn't do anything about it until Monday morning. I contacted my salesman Monday morning and brought the vehicle right over for him to look at. He told me they could take care of the items or if I wanted they would locate a new vehicle for me. I opted for them to locate a new vehicle and they had to get one from Nashville, which is about 250 miles away. It would take a couple of days for them to get it for me so they told me to continue to drive the 4runner I had purchased until then. I "traded" vehicles today and everything was perfect on the new one. Performance actually had the new truck trailered for me from Nashville to keep the miles off it.

Not once did anyone that I worked with at Performance do anything but treat me well, even through what was a difficult situation. I'm just as impressed with the dealership as I am the vehicle and as we all know when it comes to Toyotas and 4runners that's saying a lot. If you're in Memphis and interested in a Toyota, I'd definitely give them a shot to win your business......
