Whats going on amigos. I just recently had my friend(master tech at work) install 6000k HID kit on my fog and low beams. I didnt pay attention to the wattage when i got the low beams but it said 55w when i received them. Anyway when i put them on the low beams seem almost blue-ish and the fogs seem like a bright white. Does the wattage really affect the output that much? fog kit i bought off him he said it was 35w kit. i will try to post pics later tonight.

Are the kits different brands? color temps don't necessarily match just because its the same number if they come from different companies. With some companies the color doesn't match even in their own kits. typically the higher wattage kit will wash out the color some, but that's opposite of what you're describing.

Yes the low beam kit i got off ebay. The fog light kit is a kit we sold at our dealership a few years back. We had 1 kit left and it was practically given away by our parts manager. so i jumped on it.

I agree with ARK.

Just another thought... Are you sure the 55w ballasts are hooked up to the low beams, and not the fogs?

Yeah the Fog light kit was installed 2 weeks before i got my low beam, the ballasts for the fogs are mounted on the front bumper bar (sheet metal screws) and the low beams are mounted under the hood through factory bolt holes.
