Philips Crystal Vision Bulbs

I know there's been a lot of discussion about bulbs lately - Silverstars, Vision Plus, etc. Well, I went out and bought the Crystal Vision bulbs after reading about them on Philips' web site and reading some reviews after doing a google search.

Here's my take on them - they're just OK. They are definitely a bit whiter/bluer looking than the Silverstars but they give off less light, which doesn't make any sense to me. If you like the bluish look of HID, then they're good for that purpose. But I think the Silverstars light up the road a little better.

I'll try but It is not my nature to be patient....

I have Silverstars and they are big improvement from stock bulbs but I haven’t seen those Crystal Vision yet so I'm waiting for your pics..

OK, for all of you who have been patiently waiting with bated breath, here's my take on the Crystal Vision bulbs after having had the Silverstars for the past 8 months.

The Crystal Vision bulbs are slightly whiter and slightly brighter. They are very very close in whiteness and brightness, I had to look very closely to see any sort of difference. No difference at all in lighting the road, the only difference I could see was in looking directly at them while standing about 30 feet away in front of the truck.

Before I get flamed, I tried to upload the pics but kept getting a message that they were too big. Not being especially computer savvy, I didn't know how to make the pics fit.

When you 1st installed them you said the Phillips put out less light...now you're saying they are a little brighter...did something change?

the more blue the light has, the less output as far as brightness it will have. this would explain why your sliverstars seemed brighter. HIDs are a whole different ball game tho.
