Hey guys... I ran across this company making pretty cool android head units for all kinds of cars. They don’t make one for our truck because they haven’t had enough people asking for it.
They sent me a link to request they make one for our 4runner and they’ll make one if they see enough demand.

I know there the t9 android units out there and they look pretty nice and oem... but also have enough bugs that I want to see what else some other company will come up with. These guys are right here in the States and are pretty quick to respond to messages and questions .

That GX setup looks dope, although I kind of like the big chunky AC controls we get, so I'm not sure I'd want them integrated into a display.

The thing I don't like about the T9, once the bugs are worked out, is the loss of features from OEM. It's not like the OEM is setting a high bar, so when I can't run waze through car play and listen to local radio, then what's the upside??? Plus no XM without external hacks... no I don't want to use my phone if I'm in the middle of nowhere I will probably have satellite, but no cell.

It would also be nice if they added a few fun off-road features (water fording depth measurements, ground clearance/forward facing cameras, etc.).

We can dream!

They're not doing anything special, they're just re-selling the same units that everyone else is. Maybe they have better customer service? Either way they're not actually doing any R&D or manufacturing any of the head units

Very old post, but it's finally here... (pre-order) .. this thing looks like a beast! I would have preferred the smaller horizontal version they were toying with, so I'll see what early adopters have to say about this one...

OEM Audio was telling me that Stinger was working on something but I just don't see how a larger screen would fit without disturbing the vents. My smaller floating screen Pioneer blocks the very bottom of the vents already.
