Phone/Tablet mounts

I am considering purchasing mounts for my iPhone 7+ and iPad Pro 9.7. I have looked at the Proclip line and they appear to possibly be a bit light in the event of even easy off roading particularly for the iPad. The Ram mounts look strong enough but a bit cludgy and quite large. These mounts will be going into a Limited so kind of prefer they don't look too "boy racer" like. The tablet mount could be removable but the phone mount would stay in the truck. I am an old f&rt so don't get too wild with the 4R, mostly got it due to snow around this area and a few photo trips. Do the pro-clamps work okay? Are there any suggestions of other brands I should look into? I have done Google search and received about 230,000 hits many of which look to be really cheap junque. Thanks for any suggestions.

I made one out of some rod and plate that extends off of the seat mount and has a ram mount on top for adjustability. It doesn't even wiggle when offroading. Took me about an hour to put together. Check out my build thread for pics

I had a Proclip iPhone mount in my FJ. It was rock solid.

Are you doing this for use map with map applications? If so what map applications are you using?
