This is a little off topic, but I figured this was the best place to pose a question of this nature.

What is the best photo sharing website? I have used Photobucket for years, but they are constantly changing the layout of the site and changing things. I take pics, load them to the computer, transfer them to this site, not a whole lot more. For my limited needs, you'd think Photobucket would work, but I am now unable to copy any of the IMG links for any of the photos I've previously loaded. So, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also it'd be really great if the camera has video recording with sound capability as well, any suggestion is appreciated.

This is a STEAL at $200. I got it for $300 last July and I've loved it. No problems, you can manually configure stuff, and a great camera to learn on. I personally would recommend starting out with a good point and shoot, and learn more about principles and stuff, then you will appreciate an SLR more when you move to it.

It's worth the benefit. I've already deemed myself as lead cupcake tester. All designs, flavors, concepts, etc. must be run this through this guy!

Flickr, without a doubt. I was once a user of Photobucket, but Flickr blows Photobucket out of the water IMO. Sharing, networking, vast amount of collections, groups, etc. are all qualities I like in Flickr.

Hahaha it's a difficult job, testing cupcakes, but someone has to do it!

+100000 for flickr. Not to mention the upload compression is very minimal. When you link and share your photos you can actually retain a high quality image, unlike photobucket that spits out dull renditions of your once sharp photos.

edit: also depending on how much/what you're going to be uploading. i think it's worth it to pay the $25/year for the pro account. just my .02¢.

I would be careful cropping so much of the original out. In this photo the foreground is completely gone. It does not have a sense of scale like the original does.

I'm going to be switching over to Smugmug or Zenfolio likely within the next month or so. Still doing research on those two.

Nice HDR's, those look good. Watch out for the haloing though on the bottom two. You've got a tiny bit creeping in on the machine gun and tail.

I've been using SmugMug for a few years now. Partly because they were really cheap and offered a lot of customization...IF you take the time to learn it or already know how to do so. However their recent increase in prices pushed the level of support I was getting out of my budget for my photography.

I've heard great things about Zenfolio, and I think that their prices are pretty comparable.

How many of you keep a back up body, either at home or with your gear?

My A55 just came home from repair, and I'm not really sure if should put it up for sale, keep it as a back up, or start bringing it along keeping a different lens on it vs the A77.

Very nice portfolio! I've also been looking at Squarespace but they don't have an option to sell through them. I love their templates though.

SmugMug uses a couple of different labs, but Bay Photo is the one most people know. I actually use and prefer a different lab, so unless it's an important drop shipment, or someone out of state, I don't use the site for selling anymore. I go through my lab, and have people pay me directly, then pay my taxes to the state as required. Partially because I have been happier with my lab than the stuff I've seen from Bay Photo, but some of the support I've gotten from my lab was by far above and beyond what I've heard from many of the other labs....but most labs are pretty good about taking care of their photographers.

A week or so back, I got to play with a Nikon D80 for a few hours... Took it out into the field at work (belongs to my employers), and took a few shots. Most of the shots were blah, since I was just playing around and seeing what the SLR could do...

This is one of my favorites. Touched up the contrast and midtones ever so slightly... But that's it. Photo of my workplace (at the moment):
