Thanks, but in my research thus far, you can get twice the amount of features and control in a pad for half the price.

Sorry I missed your first post.

Generally speaking the more "pro" level pads are bigger and offer more pressure sensitivity, angle detection, etc. For photo retouching even the most basic of modern WACOMs will absolutely do the job, and do it well.

It comes down to if the size of the tablet works for you. If so then the Photo would be a great purchase.

The d810 is in the same class as the canon 5dmk3, I can't not notice that.

I don't know what you guys are shooting but if it's mostly landscape and portraits the Sony a7 series cameras are a nice choice too. Not as good for sports but it wills till do the job.

So is the D750 if you're publishing photos to web and not blowing them up to billboard size

D750 also has better low-light AF than both the D810 and 5D. Take a good look at the D750 before you pull the trigger on a D810, then use the money you saved to buy better glass.

Lenses are always a way better investment than the camera. I would agree with the D750 being a great Nikon option.

Definitely agree. Buy a camera for what you plan on using it for. Not on what it can do. I have a D800 and a current project is taking the photos and blowing them up to huge prints. The resolution is definitely needed for me!

Great pics (especially the third one)! I just got a D3200 with the standard lens kit and I wanted to learn how to take above average pictures. I am currently trying to learn the manual settings but very far from being an expert. I had some questions that might help me improve my photography skills.

1. What settings (ISO, aperture, and shutter speed) did you use for the 3rd picture?
2. What lens/range did you use and what distance were you away from the building?
3. Did you edit anything in lightroom (or in another program)?
4. Did you use a flash since it looked like it was a night picture?

2. I used a 16mm fisheye. Think I was maybe 100 feet from the church, if that.
3. I cropped a bit and did some post-processing in Lightroom.
4. No flash, just used a flashlight to paint the church. Just google "light painting" and you should find some articles that explain it far better than I can.

Thanks, this was actually my first attempt at this type of photography, but I did do some researching on settings and such before I went. It also took several attempts with different settings until I got the effect I was looking for.

Gear I used Canon 6D and an EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. Settings were set at 1/100 sec @ f/11, ISO 100. Getting focus is the hard part. Some say use manual, but I eventually started to use autofocus and focused on either the door or the passenger. Use burst mode to increase your chance at getting a better photo. I also used lightroom to clean it up a little.

Here's a freeze shot I did of a BMW M3. Setting was 1/2000 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 100.
