Me too, no camera or lenses this year, but I finally broke down and ordered one of those color calibrator things. Picked up the X-Rite pro version or whatever it's called.
Used to have to borrow friend's computer to do final edits for prints, and was using LR CC on mobile for final edits for anything online, and it started to get really annoying. My screen color is waaaaaaay off. Looks nice and pretty on screen, but nothing ever comes out right after edits.

i have the same issue, i get it right on my laptop. then when i post online and see it from my phone or another PC it looks off. mostly shows up darker than i see on my PC. i did the color monkey screen calibration on laptop but i might need to redo it again.
i use the histogram in LR and PS so i dont get why its so much darker. maybe my save functions

After editing do you export the pictures with an applied color profile vs. simply save or save-as?
Which color profile do you use when exporting?
I end up doing a majority of simple photo editing in Photoshop Elements, sometimes Lightroom if I'm editing a RAW file and then I use Lightroom mass export function to JPEGs.
I use the sRGB color profile while exporting JPEGs for the pics I plan to put on T4R, FB or my desktop. This color profile is the most compatable across screens and you will get a better experience on both ends. Email the picture to anyone and it should open and look the same. While not technically the greatest specs it looks great to naked eye and is consistent.
I do my photo editing on a Dell color calibrated IPS monitor.

I'm not very excited about it and have debated on dropping them if I didn't have so much there already (plus the dead links...). It also bugs me that they're offering new users 40% off (the new price) which is the same price they've been giving it to us for. [and now I'm trying to add photos to this post and Flickr is not wanting to load... great]
No cameras, but I bought a new (to me) lens that I'm excited about. Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 Contemporary. Wish I could spend the money on the Nikon version, but I wouldn't even spend the retail price for this one...

I bought a prime lens for my Nikon D3200. I’m going to experiment with shooting Raw as well. I’m just starting out so I welcome any and all advice.

Just bought a DJI Ronin S for a good friend's Christmas gift. Somehow I got linked to YouTube videos and comparisons, etc. Saved me wracking my brain on what would be a good choice of gifts. Looks utterly amazing, hope he likes it...

I bought an SL2 with the pancake EF-S 24mm and EF 40mm lenses. It's ridiculously tiny with them mounted and fits in a fleece or jacket pocket and doesn't hog space in my carry-on.
I also had a coupon for Adorama and got the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 that's on the way Monday.

…Just revamped my website with a new hosting provider and have slimmed down the site to show only my best work. Limited the number of images I offer as prints, etc. Old site was just too much!!

Hey Pete, looks good. I like the simple layout. One thing that might help is more of a theme, or at least grouping similar images. For example, you have a row of 3 photos, a flower, leaf, and sunset. The sunset doesn't fit - but a shot of a pinecone or something nature related thats shot at a semi-marco level would. Just my thoughts.

I have a chance to buy the retail US version of Sony A7iii with 24-70mm F4 kit ($2,800 - $2,900) for $700 off. Should I do it?
I definitely won't be buying anything like that until this economy roller coaster settles down a bit. Perhaps in Feb I'll pull the trigger if everything smooths out.

Thanks for the suggestion. Been crazy busy the last few weeks, getting a myriad of things done. I plan to rotate images around on the Portfolio page, hoping to increase the SEO.
I will, however, try to group images, as best I can!
