Photoshop Request - Fender Flare Color

Who's got some mad skills and some free time? Or just more skills than me? This is what I have (picture I found online) I don't have the running boards on there so I am not really concerned about those.

I love my ride but I just can't get over the two tone silver and white! I wished they would just all be one color. I am planning on Crager Soft 8's (yeah yeah I don't want to hear it... another black rim truck) but other than tinted windows and clear corners I don't have much for significant exterior changes.

Would anybody be able to help out and test out some other colors for me?

Ideas I have contemplated:
-Flat black
-Gloss black
-Rhino Lined Black
-Gunmetal
-White

Any other suggests would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.

i would say either make them all white. or all black. aftermarket bumpers (if you plan on getting one) will look good if you flares are black area

Thanks Puddle! Not sure how I feel about them. The bumpers kind of end up looking a little strange either way. The dark color does look better but those infernal chrome bumpers. Front will disappear at some point anyways but the back.... ughh.

No prob man...I tried a quick mock up of white flares...the picture came out ugly but the contrast was nice. The only problem I see would be matching the white paint. Someone recently was painting their flares white to match and had some nice pics up. His didn't match perfectly but it was quite close and looked pretty darn good. Forgot what kind of paint he was using though. Could probably try a search.

I'm still thinking about painting my SR5 flares white. I think it would look good - similar to the newer white Tacos.

Thanks guys! I do appreciate the help. I must admit, I think the white does look the best. I saw somebody on here who did theirs white too. I know you can order the same color that's on the body from a paint store. Would I have to have it professionally done or does rattle cans and proper prep work on fender flares cause they are plastic?

I do have a guy who painted my motorcycle so he might be able to hook me up.

WrexH my Bushwackers are of course different than your flares but black against the white body like you wondered. I'm going for that black and white look myself, and trying to slowly eliminate all the chrome visuals.

Sam's Automotive did my fender flares and could likely paint yours for a nicer result than you could get on your own. No idea of your skills but a professional job is "you get what you pay for".

I don't think the black flares are getting a fair shake here... I think black will look alot better if you have matching bumpers and running boards. The blacks in the pics look bad because they don't fit with the over all scheme.

Anyone want to color the bumpers and boards in as well?

Did they make stock white 4R's with black flares? What color are the bumpers and boards on those?

Ron, I think even having the black sliders on yours makes the black flares fit in alot better

I see where you are going with that Ron and I do like the rig! We might have to meet up some morning and chat runners. I know my girlfriend is getting sick of chatting in her ear and **** she doesn't care about. The problem I see with the black flares is they are quite large. I feel like the only thing you would see would be flares when you looked at my ride. Not to mentioned the PITA work to color match the bumpers afterwards. Not sure I have the time or patience to do the bumpers. I don't like chrome bumpers but I think it blends pretty well with white and white flares.

How was the pricing and quality at Sam's? Never had any experience with them.

Nelsonmd. They did make a white with black fender but not the limited style fender. They were the "Highlander" style fender if you will. Much smaller but still a good look. A very similar look to Ron Helmuth's rig.

Last option would be to sell and buy a different one with one color! I think I might be too picky to obtain what I am looking for especaially here in CO.

Bringing this thread back to life. So I have been doing a little more reading about my flare color options. I have found that Plasti Dip makes a white. I am not terribly worried about exact match because they are plastic flares, IMO they aren't supposed to match so as long as they are close.

Anybody have good luck with doing exterior pieces (flares)? I've read the threads about the emblems and dash pieces turning out really well but anybody have experience?

I am heading out to the hardware store and will let you know my findings.
