Photoshoppers, personal request

Ok I wanted to put this in the 3g forum because I've seen some of the photoshopping jobs some have done and they're very decent. I have a request for someone that's particularly skilled with photoshop, it has to deal with taking a logo i drew and converting it to digital form. I've been using ps for 5 years loosely and can't really figure out how to do this correctly. I took a hi res digital picture of the sketch. Anyways, I really need this done to complete one of my final projects before i finish my degree so I need it as best of quality as possible, unfortunately I can't get it there just yet. here are 2 pics of it, the first one obviously looks better but the second is how the lines are supposed to be more or less. You can tell in the first one I outlined it a few times. Thanks again, maybe if its pro enough I can paypal someone some cake when graduation checks start rolling in! Thanks a lot guys

If this is for print, you don't want to be using PS...you want Illustrator. Even if it's not for print, the drawing capabilities of AI are much better than PS.

Agreed, you definitely want it in Illustrator, that way you can resize as large/small as you want without any pixelation. Do you want those dimples in it like JohnsD90 posted or are the lines supposed to be smooth?

thanks guys it really means a lot. i actually started getting good at the pen/path tool and got a pretty good outline going on ps, what do you think?

yeah that looks good. Pen tool can be a b1tch to use sometimes but it definitely gives you the best results.

Looks good. what resolution is that? If ur planning on printing it I'd go with something high like 300. But I'll agree with others, using vector art in AI will be better than the raster imaging in PS.

Man you're lucky everyone loves your truck Miller, cuz I think if it was anyone else, they'd have told you to pound sand, haha. What's the logo for?

haha well i had to shoot. its for my last project of my degree. i have to create and budget a retail store and fortunately i've been thinking of creating a ski/snowboard store prior to this assignment so it was just a matter of digitizing a lot of my sketches and ideas, this is what i ended up making, not up to par in my mind but good enough for a project, thanks for the help everyone!
