just got a new set...... and yes, they are awesome..

ill get some pictures up later once i get my laptop back.

over all, the light output is amazing, and they give off a true white color, no yellow at all

What p/n are they and what is their temperature? I'm not a big fan of bulbs over about 5000K, especially when you have poor weather. In fog and rain at night warmer (yellower) is better. My fogs are 2500K and my headlights are 4000K.

i've got highlight HID xenon's. mine are 7000k. i love em, a beamer pulled up next to me last night and they were about the same color. they best part is they were $18 off ebay.

I wonder how long they will last.

well i got the piaas at what i believe to be cost ($48 before tax) and they run at 4000K, so they are white, but not blue white.... pure white imo, and i love them

now just need to get the fog light bulbs in white, and get a set of piaa 520 fogs with yellow bulbs for bad weather

i have never owned piaa light, i have air craft landing light and the light overpowers everything i have seen, and i have some kc amber fogs

but i would really like to see how piaa compare to my set up now

basically my 420 watts of power blows anything away on the road at night and my high beams are nothing compared to the aircraft lights.

true, but did you have to upgrade your wiring harness for them? piaa is still a 55 watt bulb so you dont have to change anything

Which PIAA bulbs did you purchase? Reason I ask is, I ran of set of PIAA Star White headlight bulbs for about 2yrs before I did my HID upgrade. These bulbs here: Click Me

However, I found out something interesting when I went to remove the PIAAs...that blue coating that covers the entire lense of the bulb, well it had burned almost entirely off. What little pices remained, just flaked off at the touch. No telling how quick it burned off, but I'm sure it was a gradual process as I didn't notice a change in the color of light output. Just got use to it over time.

So in my experience, PIAA bulbs that have the blue coating on them, simply are junk. Hope you have better luck with your PIAAs.

well the only factory wiring it my headlights with sylvania silver stars

but everything else it running on 12 ga fused wire and then grounded... so i have alot of wires running in and around my 4runner
