PIAA Silicone Wipers

Hey,
Its about time for me to replace my windshield wipers, and i came across the PIAA Super Silicone Wipers. I just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about them, mainly, if they are worth it.

I've had them on my 4Runner since early spring. Hot Texas sun, dust and dirt from off-roading, and monsoon rains across the desert during vacation. They still clean the windshield perfectly.

Previously, I had some top rated wipers which wore out within a couple months.

No, the difference is their long life. However, I seldom use wipers anyway. At highway speeds Rain-X does the lion's share of the work at clearing the rain. I use the wipers to clear dust, dirt and bugs using washer fluid.

They are a cut above the rest. Not like they are really that much of an investment. I think I paid twice what the others were. How much more is it worth to be able to see clearly?
 
I have these on all of my own cars and have been selling them for over a year. They are avaiable in black or carbon fiber style.

They DO WORK better than anything I've seen, and have a cool rainx like coating in the blades.

Jason has them for ~$45. I get replacement Toyota inserts for like $3.50 each. I'd like to get them but that is a big difference.
 
This includes the new blade and insert, which you need since it's a new brand. Replacements inserts for the piaa run about $12.

The best thing is, I've been selling these blade for over 1 year, and have never sold a replacement to date. For something that works, and doesn't seem to wear out, I'm addicted to them.

I realized that and I wasn't really knocking them, I'm just short on cash. I'd probably get them if I had the extra cash. Right now, with my truck garaged, I have to change them about every 9 months. And I mean I HAVE to change them as they start stuttering across the windshield.
 
Mine came with them when I bought it and they're still on nearly two years after I've owned it and they are just now having mild issues but I'll see how they do in our first real snow before I replace them and I'll just buy the inserts.
 
My 2 cents...

Sure the PIAA blades are a lil more,but they really are far above
quality wise rubber wipers.

No noisey screeches, and since the wipers are made with silicon,
the water literally beads when it hits the windshield and flies off.

Only time I seen that is when Rain Dance is applied.

I can literally drive on a highway in a heavy rain and turn the wipers off and the water jets off the windshiled to the sides.

I really couldnt be happier with a set of wipers.

I just ordered a pair of these, I am curious on how the rain-x affect works with them.

Maybe we do a group buy on these?
 
I pour a teaspoon of rain X in my windshield wiper reservoir. It seems to do the job well.

I use OEM inserts, as they are fine for most applications
 
By far the best wiper blades on the market! I use to sell these and I got a free pair and put them on my last truck. I liked them so much I put some on my Moms, Dads, brothers and girlfriends vehicles. I'm acually going to buy a pair for my new (used) runner today. If you can afford the up front price you'll save from buying more cheap ones in the long run :bigok:

Why do you need Rain-X? Our 4Runner's windshield is specially coated from the factory. I believe they call it a "Hydrophillic" coating!
 
I have to agree these are still the best I've seen and sold. I've had mine on for about a year and still don't need to replace.
