PIAA wiper blades upgrades?

I`ve had my PIAA wipers on my 4R since spring of `06.
Once in a while Ill spray silicone on the windshield. They still clean/clear as if I just put them on.
No regrets here. Ordered from Jason B. also.
Just make sure you read the instructions and use the right
connects when installing them and enjoy the 1st rain

Wiper Blades
These wiper blades are excellent. Even on those goopy rainy morning drives in rush hour traffic, the oily smearing is eliminated as you would get on Anco Wiper blades. They are a safety must on my vehicle. I have used them since September and can't say enough about them.
If they last as long as everyone says, you will have no regrets.

I did some pricing today. The top-of-the-line Bosch Icon wipers were about $20/each. The Rain-X latitudes were about $15/each.
Pep Boys didn't have refills for either (don't know if they exist).
Jason B sells the Piaa's for about $50/set and has refills for about $12 each.
When you consider how much better the wipers are and the fact you can buy a refill, might as well go with the Piaa's.
I ordered mine today from Jason B.
I'll let you know how they work out.

I've heard these are the cat's ass. Keep meaning to order some but never do lol. blades on the 4Runner are getting bad, as are the ones on my Ram, so I'm gonna try them out soon.

I'm ordering some PIAAs this weekend. I need to get new blades again and this is getting to be annoying. Squeaky squeaky!

They rock! My previous wiper would making all kinds of noise before. Now I hear...nothing. Plus my windshield is so clean. Now if I can get my self to go clean my car again, but it's too cold.

I'm guilty. After running across this post I got the bug and did some late night web crawling (not as much fun as rock crawling) and found PIAA Super Silicone Blades at Central 4Wheel Drive. If you are interested, the link is below. It was the best price I found. $18.95 each for the 4Runner and the shipping and handling charge was about $8. Check it out.

I thought I'd take a minute to update anyone interested in these PIAA Blades.
OK, not anywhere near the most important or sexiest upgrade you or I will do, but increased vision is always a good thing.
The build quality of the Super Silicon blade is very good. I was impressed. The instructions are clear and the prep steps prior to installation and use are simple and thorough.
Basic instructions for prepping the windshield.
The wipers leave a fine layer of silicone on the windshield when run dry. This isn't noticeable to the naked eye, until you see water beading like the windshield had been waxed (kind of like coating the windshield with Rainx).
So, the rain dance I did really worked. The next day we were expecting several days of rain and the weather didnt dissapoint. Yes, it does rain in Southern California. In fact, it's been storming here quite hard for a few weeks, on and off.
I am happy to say that the first time I turned on the wipers I was extremely impressed. Worth every penny. In fact, I had to laugh when my daughter made fun of me initially, and then she went for a ride with me when it was raining. She asked, "why would you spend the money on wipers when there are other cool things to buy"? So, I started the truck, turned on the wipers and her comment...."OH, thats why".
It's been a few weeks and I remain impressed. In fact, I ordered sets for my son's, daughter's and wife's cars.
Need new wipers...buy these. Don't need new wipers...buy these anyway!

- Thoroughly clean the windshield
- Make sure the windshield is completely dry
- Use the supplied "prep cloth" and wipe down the windshield again. (This cloth seems to be alcohol impregnated)
- Allow the windshield to dry for about 10 minutes
- wipe down the windshield one last time with a clean dry cloth
- Install wipers per instructions using the supplied adapters
- Run the wipers for about 5 minutes on the dry windshield prior to their first use
- pray for rain and be impressed
