Pic request - tacoma air tube installed in fender

Snorkel install is a few days away and I'm trying to shake the dust off my last install. I remember my 97 came with the Tacoma air tube luckily but I don't think my 2000 has it. The tubing in there right now extends about 12-18" past the engine bay outlet. I can't remember the length of my last one so I was going to see if someone could post pictures of one with or without so I can verify. Pretty sure I can find one here at a junkyard fairly easily just need to know if I should. Thanks!

Do you need a pic of it installed or just the part and some measurements? I was planning on doing a snorkel at some point and bought the tacoma tube but haven't installed it yet. The other problem is it's in storage and I'd need to fish for it before I could even get pics or measurements. If you want info on just the part let me know and I'll put on my spelunking gear and try to track it down in my storage garage.

Thank you!!! Ok so I definitely have the same tubing as that, but I'm not sure if that's what's needed. For some reason I thought the tubing looked different or longer? Here is a diagram I found online, it seems like that tubing extends a lot longer, doesn't it? And what about people that didn't have it equipped - do they just have their opening at the end of part #7?

I took the tubing from the snorkel that is supposed to connect from the snorkel base and to the tacoma air tube and I just feel like it's a couple inches short. That doesn't make sense though because I thought you were either on point or like a foot short. I think for me to really confirm if I have it or not it to see a fender that came with it installed and one that didn't.

Seeing the pic of the one in the salvage yard I thought to myself "I'm pretty sure mine is bigger" (not bragging) haha but I know the one I have doesn't have that metal mounting bracket either but maybe that's a separate piece to order. Might take me a couple days but I'll get you a pic.

Unfortunately I think that there are several variations of this inner fender snorkel tube. When I had my Injen air intake installed on my 2001 Limited 4WD I only had the small elbow piece so I had it removed for better air flow.

When I was in Houston several months ago I saw a tube on a 1998 (I think) at a salvage yard and I bought it. It looks different from the one in the salvage yard pic above. It doesn't have that padded handle-looking piece on top. I can take a picture of that one later this afternoon and post it.

Haha exactly what I was thinking. My last build had it on there from factory but I remember taking it out to seal it and there weren't any brackets like the one I have on mine now. I'm now positive there are different versions of this thing and mine isn't the version I need haha. Damn

Yeah I think the 96-98 4x4 models come with them a lot of the time. I know theres one or two in a salvage yard about 30 minutes away but I'm going to wait until I have a few more items to pick up before taking my chances.

I found my intake tube! I don't have a camera on my home kindle so I'll snap a shot of it tomorrow on my other one. But, mine looks exactly like the one in the parts diagram you posted, no metal bracket etc. I do have a part number though if you need it: 53807-35020
I removed my airbox elbow awhile back and lost it so I bought the tacoma one too. Part # 52811-35010
