Picked up a 2000 Sr5 Sport...

...with 180 k on the clock. In "decent" shape I think the color is called "mica jade" (green). Runs strong.
Needs valve cover gasket, front rotors (only 6 months old) are warpped, going to put the Brembos on. Have had good luck in the past with them.
and CEL is on.

Picked it up for $4500! I think I got a great deal.

Thoughts?

also, where should I pick up an external tranny cooler?

You might try tightening the valve cover bolts before replacing the gaskets. On small leaks that's sometimes all it takes. Also, look into the Tundra brake upgrades before going Brembo. And third, the most common CEL is an o2 sensor failure but check the codes to be sure. If so, replace with a Denso.

Is it 4wd or 2wd? $4500 seems like a deal if it's 4wd.

I was thinking of cranking down the VC bolts a bit, and o2sensor was also what I had in mind.

can I do the Tundra brake upgrade on the Sport? Its my understanding that the sport has 13" rotors...

im pretty sure I got a sweet deal

also to clarify, I have used the Brembo rotors, not the entire brake upgrade.
I am pretty sure the Brembo rotors have a thicker brakeing surface.
