Thanks all!
How much did you get it for if you don't mind...
Well, it was not one of those great deals I read about here & other places, but fair enough all considered - 6700. We looked at quite a few through Oct., and this was by far the cleanest we ran into. That made all the difference for my wife, who's going to be daily driving it. The 5-speed/e-locker sealed the deal for me since every other rig was auto except one that we missed, not that there's anything wrong with that really, I'm just into manual transmissions no matter what vehicle we've got. With Toyota's reputation, the miles were kind of moot.
Looks good! Any plans for modding it?
Hahahahaha....well, with anything that we end up with it's inevitable. I've already started removing those ridiculous boxes hanging off the intake tract. Last night I read about the blue wire mod...while lazily rounding up an internet parts order for basic "tune up" stuff - plugs, 3wire set, filters, *cough* deckplate.
I'd like to pull the running boards off & replace them with rock rails. The driving factor in getting the 4runner was to be able to go camping again where we don't have to
hike miles and miles in on the trail.
I need to get out there and determine what gears are in it too...
I suppose the answer is yes!
Did the dog come with the rig?
No, but he's ready to go with the rig anytime we get the keys out! He's plenty excited about the fact that the rear window rolls down too.
