Picked up a couple 3rd gens, how'd I do?

I want to thank everyone that posted info in the tacked threads on these vehicles, it really helped out a ton learning about them!

On to the ones I found.
First one I got a few weeks ago, 98 v6 auto 4x4, 114k mi, $4100. Everything works, but had to replace ball joints, tie rods, front brakes, and shocks/struts. Runs beautifully.

Then I came across this one a couple days ago, and couldnt resist.
99 v6 5spd manual, 4x4, sport/sr5 230k mi, $4000. This one was garaged, and meticulously maintained. I can't believe how much more fun the manual transmission makes these things! Even with the miles on it, she still drives strong, and no issues that worry me.

I think you need a few more. Don't stop while your on a roll. I'm having a rough time finding one good one up here for my buddy. They look great. Props on the manual.

The '98 is the exact same color combo as my '97, except yours looks brand new. xD

You missed out on a hell of a vehicle, the guy really stayed on top his maintenance! clutch/pressure plates, clutch master, brake master, timing belt, tie rods, and radiator are new, took care of any leaks as soon as they started on the valve covers...he had all the records showing every thing that was done to this thing.

Poor fella didn't want to let it go either, I saw him at the end of the driveway watching me drive off until I was out of sight. I don't blame him, I'd trade this thing for both of my other trucks...and I LOVE my tundra!

He definitely got his money's worth though, bought it 10 years ago for 6k, sold it for 4K. That's what I call a solid investment.

Yea I really wanted it, but I bought one in Houston with 145k miles for about the same price. That sport one was my back up buy if the one I bought fell through. Cool to see that it ended up on here

Funny you say that, if I can find another v6 5spd 4x4, I'm all over it.

I need one for a 2JZ swap and I cant bring myself to tear apart that 99 sport. :naughty:

ETA...does anyone know of a 3rd gen 2jz 4x4 that is out there? I've seen that one tacoma, but I've only come across the 2nd gen 4x4's with that setup.
