Picked up my 4runner

Hello All,
I have been lurking for a few weeks while I did my research on the 4runner. But, I picked up the newest member of the family on Wednesday night. Here's a pic, I'll limit it to 1 since most of you are familiar with what they look like.

I'm loving it, the ride is great, and I love the Ipod Jack in the center console. I had an Acura RSX prior to this and haven't had a SUV since 2002. Before that I had a fairly modified Wrangler. I look forward to getting back off-road.
Just thought I'd post to say hey, and let everybody know I'll always search first!

Welcome to the board and very nice ride... you picked the perfect Color :D Gotta love the Galactic Grey... Enjoy her and have fun..

Can you tell us a bit of any options you got with the 4R? I'm curious since you mentioned the aux port whether it was standard.
 
Congrats on the new truck. It definitely looks great in galactic grey. Be prepared to purchase many mods for the new truck!

What part of New Jersey are you from?

My options were listed as:
Tonneu Cover
Black Roof Rack & Cross Bars
17" Alloy Wheels
Leather Steering Wheel and Shift Knob
Daytime Running Lights
Power Tilt/Slide Moonroof
Tow Hitch
Carpet Floor Mats
Allow Wheel Locks

So I guess the Center Console Jack was standard? It's listed under standard equipment as
-AM/FM/CD w/ 6 speakers & Mini plug,

Anybody have an idea what kind of price to get the spoiler installed? I wanted it done, but remembered too late in the paperwork to have it added before we left that nite.

Thanks, I have to give up my old forum for my RSX, or split the time between the two. I was just about to hit 3,000 posts there though. :D

I can see this forum is going to cost me some money in mods, I just have to find out what kind of mods I can do with a lease

Anything as far as you going to buy your vehicle after lease or the ones you will be able to remove before giving the vehicle back. Most of 4Runners, Land Cruisers owners are keeping their vehicles for many years, they are very reliable. My friend works in Toyota dealership. His dealership sold over 100 '03 4Runners in 2002 Fall, only 18 has returned. People are do not want to give them back. By the way, 15 from those 18 were V8. The most interesting thing is there is a line for 2003 V6 4Runners and there are 12 people waiting for this vehicle to be given back from lease.

I just found out that my 4runner was missing a part. The "cap" on the back corner is missing. I went back and looked at pictures from the day I brought it home, and it wasn't there then either. I can't believe I didn't notice until now. The dealer said they will order it and have it in on Monday for me. Do these things pop off normally, or did it get popped off coming off the truck or something.

What cap? Could you post some images?

So, it's a roofrack cap. When you'll have, \could you make some pictures of it, and, pls, post the picture of rack without the cap. I'd like to see how it's fixing. I remember I took one off approximately 6 month ago and do need to take it off again, but I don't remember how they are fixing from inside. Those photos could be very helpful for me.

By the way, I like your truck. I have the same taillights as you do and they looks great with bumper lights. Unfortunately 2006 model doesn't have any. You can check my truck at My 4Runner Project
