Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time since I've been on here. I’m picking up a new 2010 4Runner Limited 4x4 next week. The salesperson I’ve been dealing with was able to reserve the specific model that I want which is coming right off the ship and straight to the dealer next week. I haven’t really discussed price yet with the salesman, except that he gave me the breakdown of the 4Runner and its features showing MSRP costs.
Do you think I have any leverage to get the price down due to what is going on with the company right now with all the recalls? Do you have any tips where I can get the car at or below invoice? I totally have faith in Toyota so I am not worried about quality. I feel like I should have leverage, but since I’ve been in such a great amount of contact with this salesman, I feel like he may have the upper hand knowing that I already want the 4Runner and will most likely not walk away based on price…or that since the model I want is very rare in Southern California (Limited 4x4 without the 3rd row seat), it would be worth it to him to hold on to the car and sell it at MSRP or close to it?
