in the engine bay....

1. valve cover gaskets
(pain in the ass) had to remove the throttle body and plenum to get to the left cylinder bank. i wish i had the $$ for the supercharger...would have been the perfect time to install

2. cam shaft seals
3. crankshaft seal
4. PCV valve
5. idlers x 2
6. water pump
7. tensioner
8. t-belt and drive belts
9. plugs
10. belts
11. flush trans and diff's
12. electric fan mod

Everythng ill be doing soon with the addition of AT cooler bypass, aftermarket radiator, URD crankshaft pulley, radiator hoses, fuel filter, and lexus pink coolant. Ive already done the plugs and wires so they are A OK. Ive also got a TRD thermostat and TRD radiator cap too.

Where did you buy the carpet kit from? Thinking of replacing mine but having a bit of trouble trying to find a quality one for a decent price.

Also be sure to post some pics up of your Wet Okole's when you have them installed! Haha
 
how did this turn out?

We're getting ready to remove the crankshaft seal on the MR2.

Can you provide a safe way to do this? Jamming a screwdriver in there ?
 
looking back....

I thought i's never finish. I started in 05/09 and finished 02/10. I'm a internal medicine resident, so i don't have too much time on my hands.......the hardest part? putting it back together when i took it apart so long ago.......

so for the cam and cranks seals. I tried generic seal pullers and i don't think they worked well. this takes a some part stupid, some balls and confidence

- TRICK: to remove the crank/cam seals: CAREFULLY drill a small hole in the metal rim of the seal. Put a small drywall screw in the hole and it’s easy to pry out…..no worries about damaging the seal surface

sadly i didn't take any pics when changing the seals, but i so have a left over cam seal from my wife's 02 civic which was changed during a t-belt service this past weekend. there may be a better way, but i've had luck this way
