PIE AUX Install

I would like to send a huge THANK YOU out to Mr. Castulucci and Rando for their awesome write-up of the head unit removal. With this write up I was able to hard wire our DVD player into the JBL in about two hours (30 minutes spent BSing with the neighbor). A year ago I never would have attempted anything like this. Now I will have all of you to blame when I am broke modding up this thing.

Also, I found that the people who originally installed the video system forgot to hook up the DAC and the 12V power supply. They also "lost" some bolts which I was able to replace. :bash:

Yup, Thanks from me too! I used it numerous times already. At least once for doing the PIE unit and a couple of times when I swapped out the single disc JBL unit for the 6 disc.

I've memorized it already and can probably pull the radio in less than 15 minutes if I take my time.

I would also like to thank Mr. Castulucci for his write up on the head unit removal. I have an SR5, without NAV, but was able to install my PIE interface without incident. I had much trouble locating a PIE aux in here in Canada, but my last week's trip to Wisconsin was able to get one sent to my hotel.
