Pikes Peak

So I thought Id run up Pikes Peak today, its been about 15 years since the last time. They have paved the whole thing now, all the way to the top. :sad:
Well talk about CROWDED lol so many damn people just at the gate, not a huge deal, so I start my way up and about half way they asked if I want to take the shuttle? I said what what??? she said you cant drive to the top anymore but you can go a little further and park there then take the shuttle.
WTH?? :noidea: so I drive a little further and sure enough, park your car and get on the shuttle... I ask why is this? her reply was "just to many people here anymore, they dont allow you to drive your car to the top"
So depressing just to damn many people here.

If you don't go up in the middle of summer when it's crowded, you can still drive to the top.

I drove up to the top earlier this spring - around the middle of March. It wasn't too terribly crowded.
