Pinion seal install

Okay, so my pinion seal on the back of my 1st gen started leaking last time I went to moab, it's gotten bad enough now I need to replace it. I've gotten down to where I take off the pinion nut, and then realized I don't have a random pipe laying around the right size to install the new seal. Any ideas of how I can install the new seal without a pipe (or socket) big enough to not tear the seal? I looked around the forum but couldn't find anything.

Thanks

Mike

Go to Lowes and get a coupler for whatever diameter PVC pipe is the closest.
You now have a seal installer for $2.

sweet didn't even think of that.

Thanks

Mike

edit: worked like charm thanks again, that little 90cent pipe will have a permanent home in my toolbox
