Pink Milkshake Question

I have a '99 SR5 3.4L 4x4 Automatic, pretty sure with the stock radiator. I'm confused as to how the pink milkshake actually occurs. I've done a lot of searching and still don't understand how the radiator and tranny cooler are integrated? Maybe some pics would help.
