Pioneer avh-p3200bt

I know this head unit got brought up in a few threads, but I thought it should have its own thread for people who own it to post their reviews.

I am leaning towards this head unit, it also helps I get my cousin's employee discount at Best Buy, bringing the total down to $303.

So for those who have or had this unit post the pros and cons you have come across.

Is this easy to install?

Very easy, the only thing that is a little time consuming is the parking brake wire for DVD ability. I posted earlier this week about how to make it work while the car is moving. Very easy install.

This is a great unit. I love it. It was kinda a pain to install and get the steering wheel adapter working, but everything works great. The only gripe I have that I still have not been able to figure out is when my bluetooth syncs with my Blackberry and I try to make a call from my recently dialed numbers, the numbers are all just a bunch of random numbers, so I have to dial the number or call from address book. Haven't been able to find anything online about it. Other than that, perfect unit.

I have the AVH-p3100DVD, and I love the unit.
If I could go back and do it again, I would probably get the 4100 or 4200, whichever that is.
(The one with the 7" screen and the USB input in the back.)

All in all, pioneer does a fantastic job with the double din units they have, from experience.

How's DVD playback on that screen?

DVD playback on the 3100 is awesome, so I'm sure it is on the 3200 as well.

You have options to adjust the color temperature, viewing screen (widescreen, and other ratios), you have brightness and contrast to mess with as well.
I have watched a plethora of DVDs with it, and all of them sound and look great, even on the 5.8" screen.

I personally love this in-dash as it has all the bells and whistles I needed and I was so sick and tired of lousy sound and dealing with wires all over my car, so transitioning to the AVH-P3200BT is like a dream.

Looking at the same one and would get but the iPod/iPhone wire is in the front, that's a killer for me. The step up has the wire in the back plus nav

I had one in my 3rd gen. The fit was great and I liked the features. I did wish it had USB in the back as well but it wasn't worth the price of the upgrade for me. I liked that you could update it to navigation in the future as well.

The big problem I had with the unit is I installed the deck, it worked great for a week until the screen got a line of blue pixels all the way across in the middle of the screen. The line was one pixel thick but went horizontally all the way across the screen. I pulled the fuse, reset the unit and the same thing. I figured I just got a bad one, so I returned it for another identical unit, same thing happened to the new one about a week later and I just ended up returning the second one as well and going back to the stock deck.
