Hey guys, I just ordered this and will be installing it myself within a week or so. Its brand new and it looked pretty cool so I ordered it. I hope there arent any bugs in it like the f-series but i'll find out soon i guess. I'll post pics as soon as i have it done. If anybody has knowledge about this unit chime in!

i just installed the unit earlier this morning and this this is amazing! I will post pictures within the next couple of days but everything worked out well. I did the video bypass and that worked out well too. One interesting fact about this unit is that you can not just ground the parking break wire like you could on the avic d3. You have to have a relay or toggle switch or one of those modules from ebay. Anyways...more details to come

Glad you like it, I am assuming that it doesn't have Nav. functions. Also the AVIC-D3 needed a special bypass as well, you had to move the mute pin up one then ground that along with the parking brake.
Most manufactures have started doing this to stop dumb people from bypassing their units. If your smart enough to hook up a timer relay or switch then you should be able to bypass it anyway. (that made sense in my head) :bigok:

yea i love this thing...and no it doesnt have nav but i already had a garmin that works better than most other nav units. And for the bypass i just ordered a bypass module from ebay for like 20 bucks i think it was. They include instructions on how to hook it up ...super easy. The whole installation probably took me an hour and a half.

Sweet, It's great to see someone do an install themselves every once in a while. You get so much more satisfaction out of it because you did it yourself.
