Just got back from Pioneer winter meetings where the 07 line was showcased. I know most here are huge fans of the Pioneer AVIC Z-1. But for those that don't want to spend the money for the Z-1 the new D-3 offers a lot for the money. The biggest change from the D2 to D3 is that the unit only has one disc drive. The D3 uses the same navi system as the AVIC N3 where you insert the map disc plan your route, the unit remembers the rout. The map disc isn't needed till your next route. Unlike the D-1 and D-2 the new D-3 will play DVD's. The new unit has multi-color illumination(blue,green,orange,red,white). The illumination includes the icons on the screen along with the buttons and nob around the unit. The D3 is also Bluetooth capable with the CD-BTB100 adapter. Also new for the D-3 and many other of the cd headunits is they have built in I-pod control (no more CDIB-100). Ipod plugs into the back of the unit via CD-I200. The D-3 also has wired remote input for vehicle original steering remote. Well that covers the highlights. All that for about $999. Any questions please post and I'll get back to ya.
