Pioneer Avic Install in 04

Hey all, Here is my install in the wife's 04 SR5 4WD non JBL.
Here is the sub and rear area. I picked up the JBL box and sub cover panel, rear shelf system and the cargo cover from a local salvage yard. 30 bucks for all of that. I steal I know. The outcome was to be nothing sticking out and everything out of sight. Except headunit, of course.

I installed 2 Kenwood Amps under the seats. I put some small rubber gromets to allow the air to flow under the amps to the rear area.

And just the right amount of clearance.

The door speakers was an all day job. I put Pioneer 6X9 in the front doors and Kenwood 6.5 in the rear doors. I had to totally gut the old paper spearkers so I could use them as adapters. Liquid Nails to seal the new speakers to the old speaker/adapter. Then I had to trim the panels because the new speakers were sticking out a little more than the old. Then I went with Kenwood tweeters. I cant find the pics of the door speakers. ??

Avic. Thanks to petergaz. After searching for "navigation install" his post probably saved me 1 day of work. I was able to tap into the reverse wire and speed sensor in about 10 min with his info. I owe you a beer..

GPS antenna on pass side roof. I simply ran the wire behind the windshield trim, into the engine bay..

And in through the fire wall. Sealed up with black RTV.

I used the 2 goofy trim pieces on the Avic. Its not great but it will do. I used Tsunami speaker wire. Street Wires power and ground cables. And Monster audio cables. The sub is the shallow mount Pioneer 8 incher. Not super low but fills in the bottom end pretty good.

Very nice install! How does the Pioneer sub sound in relation to the factory now?

The car never had a sub. I got the sub box at the salvage yard too, so I never heard a runner with a sub. But it sounds pretty nice to me. Its not super loud but it does fill the lower end out pretty nice.
