From what I've read I think the Z1 is definetly one of the best out there, if not the best. For the money though it's pretty pricey. It has all the bells and whistles so it's mainly what you're looking for. It has FULL Ipod function, unlike the other Pioneer Nav's, bluetooth capability, the others don't. The D2 was supposed to but checked their website and they took that option off. Bigger screen, 7". I like that smart route thing that will calculate your route based on what kind of turns, i.e. it will calculate if the turn will require a protected left turn or normal left and won't take you in that direction because "it knows" you will have to wait for on coming traffic before you can turn. It's just a real high end model that a lot of people might not use everything in it. I have the D1 and love it expect for the Ipod functions........just my .02
