I've got a 2008 SRS 4WD that I've installed a Pioneer AVIC-Z3. Pretty happy with the unit, but I've got a few things left to tidy up.
When I'm done, I'll post my results with pictures in a summary.

Navigation unit install
1. I am not clear on which wire is the VSS. I've read that there is one available in one of the wiring bundles behind the A/C controls, but can't seem to find it. Any details / pics would be helpful.
2. Parking break indicator. The Nav unit says that the parking break indicator is not hooked up properly. I tried connecting it to the parking break indicator and to the ground wire from the factory stereo wiring bundle-- would attaching to metal frame be better? Anyone else seen this message from the Pioneers?
3. Back-up camera power. The back-up camera gets *very* hot if I leave it plugged in. I wired it to the yellow "always on" power lead. Should it get +5V or +12V? Should it be the red-not-always on power lead?
4. Back-up camera installation location. Suggestions on where to put the back-up camera? I was thinking of mounting it under the chromed plastic on the back of the hatch.. links to license plate cover or other suggestions would be appreciated.
5. Second 'antenna' connector. The link above mentions that the second 'antenna' looking connector needs +12V. What is that for? What happens if you don't? (I haven't wired it yet.)
6. Steering wheel remote. Anyone replace the steering wheel cover with one of those built-in steering wheel controls with a Pioneer? Like here
Notes:
1. The microphone for the bluetooth needs to be *really* close to the person speaking. Forget trying to put it somewhere where both driver and passenger will have good pickup. Put it as close to the driver as possible. I'm going to run the wire through the head liner through the sun shade and clip it to the plastic shade under the cloth shade.
2. There is room for the bluetooth, iPod adapter and back-up camera module under neath the stereo mount and behind the amber display above the A/C controls. I velcro'd the iPod adapter to the flat plate underneath the stereo cubby hole and behind the big wiring bundle. I then velcro'd the back-up camera module to the iPod module. The bluetooth module is wedged behind the wiring bundle a little further to the right. (Pics to come later).
3. There are a *lot* of wires. I shortened the long lead cables (parking break, VSS, etc), bundled them up with all the other cables and shove them to the right of the stereo cubby hole. If I had an amp or any more wires, I'd probably have to bundle some further down.
4. iPod mount location.. there is room in the small pop-out drawer under the A/C controls, but I'm going to opt for the center arm console and mount a dock for an iPhone in there.
5. Ditch the screwdriver, and just use the 10mm socket wrench. The screws on the side of the stock radio are in very tight and will strip if you try to use a screwdriver.
6. GPS antenna. I've got it sitting on the center of the dash, just slid down against the dash and windshield. It is out of sight and gets a solid signal all the time. (Saves on drilling a hole through the roof).
7. iPod unit-- doesn't display album covers, can be slow to scroll through artists, etc. Hopefully they'll fix that with a software upgrade down the road.
8. Bluetooth adapter-- supports being linked to several cell phones, but does not auto-switch between them, or prompt you if it detects both. That is a huge pain in the butt if you switch cars a lot with your husband/wife/other.
9. Wireless steering wheel remote-- fits in the small section on the lower half of either side of the steering wheel. Works well, no complaints. Make sure you pull it really tight before clipping the excess length of the strap.
