Hey Guys,
Been a while since I posted. Need some advice...

I am looking for a new head unit for my 05 SR5. I prefer Pioneer, but similar quality is accepted.

Requirements:
-Ipod ready
-MP3 capable
-Remote Control
-Satelite integrated
-Lots of power (watts)
-cool interface
- Bluetooth for cellphone (optional)

Any suggestions? Similar products acceptable. Thanks a mil

brhmdn - I just installed the Pioneer DEH-P6800MP in my 04 SR5, no problems:

It is Ipod ready (needs adapter), MP3/WMA/AAC capable, wireless remote, satellite ready (I installed XM direct, as that's what I had in my previous truck), 50Wx4 & 22W rms, nice OEL display. Doesn't have Bluetooth tho. This deck is on sale @ Crutchfield right now for $219. Nice thing about them is you get the wiring harness & car kit for free.
Fairly painless install, if you don't count having to disassemble your console & center dash :p Sounds & looks good, and has quite a few features too.

why do you want bluetooth on your stereo??

Hands free setup with a bluetooth phone.

Taken from Pioneers website -

"Bluetooth Wireless Technology for "Hands-Free" Calling - Built In!
The DEH-P980BT is Pioneer's first CD receiver to use Bluetooth wireless technology. Using the handset with a cell phone compatible with Bluetooth wireless technology lets you make/accept calls (including call waiting), talk, and hang up without touching the phone at all. You can talk into the unit's included microphone while listening through your in-car speakers. Other features included are Voice Dial, Auto Answering, Phone Book Transfer and ABC Search."

I think it's a pretty cool idea especially in states that require hands free while driving, and looks better than having an earpiece on I think. I wish my DEX-P9 had it, maybe they'll make an add on for older decks.

Does that Pioneer have a place for a wired remote? I understand that is what is needed if you want to keep steering wheel controls.

you should seriously consider alpine. i had bad luck with pioneer in my previous cars, and what turned me onto alpine was their ipod integration, new idea at the time. now that comes standard on a good chunk of their newer decks.
