Anyone interested in a group buy on the new Pioneer Nav In Dash units?

Recently invited a friend to join up, he has a auto sound and performance parts shop that he is able to set up some great prices for us.

I was thinking of maybe starting a group buy on the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 or the AVIC-D2.

He also can offer us prices on many other brand of import auto performance parts and audio equipment.

What would you think the group price would be? I'd be interested if the price was right. Was looking at those decks anyway.
 
I'd be interested if the price comes in under $1500. That seems to be the common internet price these days.
 
I will give Dan (3D_audio) call at his shop tomorrow and have him post some sample pricing for each model.
 
I already have a source for wholesale Pioneer prices...I'm curious what kind of deals he can give. If they're better than what I can get them for, I'm in.
 
Hey what's going on guys. Quick intro, I'm Dan and have been in the whole sale business for almost a year. we have a store front in S.F with a small show room. We do audio and performance parts for domestics, trucks, imports, suv's and home theatre as well. We are authorized dealers for the majority of our audio products which means full warranty. Pioneer Z1- $1570+S&H (full warranty and if a couple guys would like to do a group buy with these, the price will drop depending on how many people.)

I don't mean to offend but I can easily find better prices doing a search on www.pricegrabber.com

What is your best price - group buy or not?
 
Yea you might be able to find a better deal but with a warranty? Hmm... The only way I can get it cheaper with full warranty is buying through my shop at dealer cost.
 
If these companies are offering warranties then they aren't going through pioneer. If they are not an authorized pioneer dealer then pioneer won't fix them.

That's my point. I can already buy the Z1 from a very good company with warranty for less money. I researched this a bit more last night and found another site selling it for $1519 with full warranty. What is the incentive buying in the group buy?

To make this worth our while we would have to get a group buy price of around $1500 or less.

Just my 2 cents.
 
Authorized Dealer For Pioneer

Hey wassup guys. We are authorized dealers for Pioneer. When we say "Full Warrenty," it really comes with full warrenty. An example: After using the Pioneer Unit for 3 months, the navagation stops working, we will be happy to replace the unit with a brand new one free of charge. As long as you have the original packaging, receipt and no physical damage from the product, you are covered 100%. There might be a small fee for shipping the Z1 maybe like $30, but it is much better than paying another $1600 for another unit. If you were to buy the unit NOT from an authorized dealer, you still get the warrenty for maybe 30 days AND the company has to ship it back to Pioneer to fix. So you might have to wait 2+ months for the unit back.

I do know that about Pioneer, if you don't buy it from an Authorized dealer, you're screwed on the warranty. Why don't I see you on Pioneer's website? If you are an authorized dealer, I'm in on a unit.

Pioneer does not offer you any warranty... 30 day or not... if it is not purchased from an authorized dealer. I know this for a fact because the shop I started working at is a Pioneer authorized service center..... meaning we can fix your pioneer radio and honor warranties. You bring your radio to us without a receipt from us or one of the surrounding Pioneer authorized dealers, then you are charged. If the receipt has no record of installation by an authorized dealer, then you better hope you purchased it within the past 30 days.

Don't believe me about Pioneer warranties...go to their site. It's the same on every site. No company HAS to honor a warranty and 99% won't if you don't purchase from an authorized dealer.

And a fee to be listed on their site? That's pretty much the hardest thing for me to believe, but I can easily call up my old boss tomorrow and find out. And I seriously doubt that if there is a fee that it would be so much to turn your nose up at it.

Just a word of advice.... Cheap does not always mean good and you definitely need to beware of buying items which retail for several thousands for much cheaper than you can find in a store. Go read up on these manufactures website and they will confirm that if you don't buy from an authorized dealer you get no warranty! Just be careful, all I'm saying....

If he has only been a dealer for about a year Pioneer probably hasn't updated their website. I have 2-3 new dealers in my territory who havn't been posted on their website yet.
 
Actually Pioneer re-did their site not to long ago. I started working at a different shop in April and 2 weeks after I started we became Pioneer dealers....and we are listed on the site.

Why not figure out a price for a group buy count of 10 units.

Then post that price here.

I will call you at your store later today regarding this.
