Pioneer vs. OEM Navigator

I am in the middle of purchasing a 2006 4Runner and need a little help making a navigation decision. I am trying to decide between the factory nav or installing a pioneer avic (havn't decided on the exact model yet).

I searched the forum and found a lot of good answers, but also raised a few additional questions.

The primary advantage to the Pioneer nav is the XM Navtech, along with what appears to be a more satisfying navigation technology.

However, if I go with the Pioneer can it connect to the JBL 10 speaker system, or will I need to have just the 6 speaker system installed?

Also, it appears that people have added XM radio to their factory nav systems, along with steering wheel controls correct? This is a big factor for me since I love XM radio, but I don't really want to have the seperate unit installed (I'm living with that in my current vehicle, but don't want it in the new 4 Runner if it can be avoided).

I don't guess there is much chance that the factory nav will suddenly get upgraded to included XM Navtech....

I'm running a pioneer nav and if your worried about the steering wheel components. I purchased a ipac adapter to make it work. It cost me like $60 and just to let you know. the ipod adapter is really cool. But, when your in artist,playlists or genres. It doesn't show the song number (ie. GREENDAY if you want song 7 the only way to know is to push the right button 7 times..horible). I make playlists now and it takes care of the problem.
