I had the Exhaust Pipe Assembly 1 & 2 replaced, under warranty, because of the sulfur smell. Replacement was from the exhaust manifold down to the muffler. New cats and all. Thanks to the t4r.org folks who shared the TSB. It was all free and it would have cost me around $2000.
They also cut my gas pedal in half but that's a different story (refer to past thread).
However, after they replaced the exhaust, they informed me that the o2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1) malfunctioned because of the new cats and all. Go figure. Estimate to get it fixed is $524. This is SO steep! After referring to past threads, and my Haynes Repair Manual, it seems like a (sort-of) easy fix. Why the 3 hours of labor? I'm going to the dealership and getting the OEM part, and installing it myself. And if I can't do it, I'm getting my local mechanic to do it for me. Comments and links to helpful threads are very much appreciated.
