Pitman arm alignment with no reference marks?!

Fak me man! I thought the pitman arm was keyed to only go on one way. Well most of you know its not! So i have no reference point when putting this back on. I took my best guess and my steering is way off. I have 2 1/4 turns to right lock and 1 1/4 turns to left lock.

How do i find my high point in the steering box to get even turns on both sides? I have removed the pitman arm from the center link right now. My best idea was to have my wheels pointed as straight as possible. Find lock to lock and split the difference. Then hope the pitman arm lines up fairly close to the center link.

Anyone have any ideas or experience??
