No he recently switched to CBI. Check his IG, he should be posting a video regarding it in a few days

Love the two doors too! Still like the clean design of the RCIs and the price is way more sane also.

Just watched Jason's video where he had an Icon Stage 7 put in, control arms, etc., both front and rear bumpers I think (?) and presumably the full CBI skid plate package?

Man CBI makes some good looking stuff. I wonder why Swellrunner upgraded from RCI. I'm sure we'll find out in his next video, I just finished watching his Icon Stage 7 install). Seems like RCI, Budbuilt, and Shrockworks would work just as good.

On a side note, its been amazing to watch the transformation of his 4Runner and his skillz!

I suspect the pictures from the CBI webpage were an initial concept (smoke) from the sales department but what Swellrunner has are pre-production or a first production set of skids. Since he has CBI bumpers I imagine they approached him about beta testing the new skids.

Because the guy is a brand ambassador and goes where the $$$ and marketing is. Seems like he got the full CBI treatment. He's another one of these Instalanders who are good are advertising products. Honestly his videos are annoying and he rambles on too much. At first I thought his videos were cool to watch but he's nothing more than a brand schill at this point.

I've tried to avoid all of that and don't have my blog monetized. When I choose some whizzo item for my 4Runner it comes after a lot of thought and research has preceded the decision to open my wallet.

Anyhow, I'd like to see more pictures of the skids to better understand the mounting and if their design allows reuse of the plastic cover between the OEM bumper and radiator.

You're going about it the wrong way bro. You gotta get Instagram and just @ everybody until they notice you. You also have to # every single mod you've every done to your rig as well. Then you gotta do giveaways and raffles. After all that you'll be Instafamous

I like him personally, he does a lot of cool stuff with his kids and as a dad trying to get his kids in nature I can appreciate what he does.

As far as being a brand guy it's another resource for us who are just trying to enjoy our rigs as much as possible.

Someone wanted a picture of the full skid package and went to his IG to find it, I would say that is a valuable resource and one I am sure CBI appreciates. The relationship works both ways.

We need to see the aftermarket stuff on trucks so we can see what it looks like before purchasing, I am glad I have a place to go see it and hear a bit about it before making the decision to spend my own $$ on a product.

Right now social media is one of the best places to see these unless the guys working in these shops have their own vehicles with this stuff installed and take constant pictures for us to see how it performs it's really the only way to see them.

If I can get this new design I’m tempted to change out my RCI.

Going from the stock skid to RCI, I felt like I lost a lot of coverage in the sides (not sure if those were crucial areas to protect though).
