Planning on doing the Gutter Gard Mesh grill insert...opinions needed...

I own a new 2006 SE 4x4 v6 Titanium Silver 4Runner...and I just found out about the Home Depot Gutter Guard and I'm very intersted in it...especially given that I think its something I can do myself PLUS it does seem to add protection.

My question is...the SE 06's have a chrome front grill....so...I don't want to add to much "chromage" to the front of my new runner...I think too much chrome is ugly..too bling blingy and prefer the sporty/agressive classy look if you will...

So when I get the gutter guard stuff....do you think I should spray paint it a flat black or spray it chrome...or maybe even try spray paint it to color key to my titanium silver?

now remember...I don't want it too flashy or to bling bling looking.

also, would you recommend the mesh goes on to the hood scoop as well?

the good news is that this mod is reversable if it goes down the gutter..haha..no pun intended.

If it were me , on your color I would go with flat black or satin black , with a flat or satin clear over it . I personnaly would prefer satin black if it were mine.

They sell it in black, so you wouldn't have to paint it. I think it would look best in black, and yes, including the hood scoop.

I personally have the aluminum look on my galactica grey sr5, and I like it a lot.

I tried both the black plastic and the silver metal on the gray '04 and I decided to stick with the black plastic.

I think the black would look best on a silver Runner.

I did the silver on my 04, and I love it. Easiest mod I've ever done.

I think the silver behind the black looks good.
