Plasmaglow LED Tailgate Light

Hello all,

I always liked the tailgate LED light bars on pickup trucks. I bought one made by plasma glow. It is the new version with white led backup lights too.

It was difficult to install because it is made to go under the tailgate of a pickup truck, but let me tell you I am happy with the results.

I am including some night shots just to show it off a bit.

Cool! Any details on why installation was so difficult and how you over came the challenge?

Actually the hardest part was the physical placing of the strip. It is laying on the top of the bumper instead of being mounted vertical. I was afraid of how the lights would look. After doing some testing the lights lookes the same either way. So then I just screwed it down to the plastic part of the bumper. Made a 1/4 inch hole to bring the wires under the truck to the trailer harness, and spliced them in....

Looks good man, Ive always liked how that looks on trucks. Does either half blink with the turn signals?

It's a brake light right or is it on all the time? I like how the backup lights come on.

Yes it blinks half right half left for the signals.

Its brake, turn, tail and reverse

My son and I have seen those strips on the tailgates of some trucks and those do look nice.

Feel free to brag in 4th gen section also for more views-although this would likely look good on 3rd or 4th gens.
