Plasti-Dip Interior. More to come.

So I got bored one day and decided to have a change. The only worry I have is how is the plasti-dip going to hold up to everyday contact? I will keep you all informed. However it has been a week and its been superb.

I painted some of the grey panelling. However, the panelling around the ac controls and navigation was hard to remove so I will do that later on. This is just a beginning process. I think it looks good. Give me your .02.

If you had already removed the trim, why not just do it right?

I did it while I was working at my hotel. And the tools were in the back. So I just said I'll redo it when I have time. It was just a "try it out" thing. It only took 5 minutes to pop off those pieces. No biggie.

Looks good. I have some scratches on the sides of my console and this seems like it would work to cover those up. Keep us informed on the durability issue.

I got mine from Home Depot. You can also find it at Lowe's, and maybe Autozone and other car places. I'd recommend you search the companies websites beforehand and see if they carry it.

No problem, mine had minor wear on it, and a black undercoat was showing from where it was scuffed, so I just sprayed. Hell, why not? It's REALLY easy to peel off and revert back to factory.

I am. I just need a lot of spare time. I tried to take the silver pieces off that are on the inside door panel, but theres a screw thats holding it on. Its kind of weird. So, I guess I'll have to take the door panel off to get the silver piece off.

I also must say that it makes the inside look so much more cleaner now. I personally like it 10X better then the basic grey.

Any updates on how this stuff is lasting? I've got the spray but haven't found the time to try it yet.

Still better then ever. I only used plasti-dip because it is completely reversible, however, I like it so much I may just remove it all and spray it a matte black, or a satin black. It grew on me very well.

I am completely in love with the look of this. The silver trim has got to go.

I am curious though. You mention removing the Plasti and spraying as a permanent solution. What would you spray that would hold up as well?

The benefit I see with the Plasti is that you can peel it and re-do it if it gets to looking bad.

I've plasti-dipped my front grill, the piece on the back above the license plate, the door handles, the emblems/badges and the headlights. It's been a few months now and everything is still holding up just fine...even the door handles. The front grill has suffered a few rock chips, but it's easy enough to fix...just spray on a little bit more plasti-dip!

Still thinking about doing the wheels....
