Plasti Dip Interior

Has anyone plasti dipped their interior? I am thinking of doing the dash but wanted to see if anyone has done it already and what were the results. I have a black 4runner and never liked the brown dash and trim. I want to change it to black. I figured that plasti dip would be the way to go and would also give it protection. What do you think?

Are you going to be pulling the dash to do it? Would be tough to mask everything off and get up by the windshield. Dashes get pretty hot amd sunbeat so you may want to try a small spot for a while and see how it does.

I feel like the dash takes too much abuse for plasti dip to hold up on it. Like setting things on it or even just touching it. I feel like it wouldn't last in the long run. Would be cool though!

Heard some use vinyl dye to paint their dash, but found it chips later. Thought plasti dip would hold up better cause many use for their chrome bumpers and rims which take a lot of abuse. A lot more than I thought the dash would.

Yeah I've got it on my wheels but for some reason just don't see it working well on a dash. Try a small area and see, if it pulls up you can just peel it off and regroup.

Rustolium brand has a plastic spray. I used it on a beat up plastic tables and chairs set we keep for big parties. That was 5 years ago, and it looks just about as good as the day I sprayed it; I changed the color from White to Blue tables and red chairs. The set sits out in the weather here in Colorado, and we have some intense sun. You might look into that???

I think they have Black?? I cant imagine that it would be any worse inside the vehicle than sitting out in the back yard?

Just a thought.
